Facebook to Google+: Foremost Reasons to Switch
admin on Jul 13th 2011 with 1 commentIs Google+ stealing users of Facebook? Yes!! This is true. There are so many reasons why users are switching from Facebook to Google+. Variety of reasons is ranging from user-friendliness, accessibility and goes up till data confidentiality. However, Google+ is the central part of Google’s entire identity.
Below we have mentioned some of the reasons, why people are discarding Facebook for Google+…

Google+ integrated with Google Services
The main feature Google is driving for people towards Google+ is integration. Here integration means, Google+ is integrated into almost all of its existing online services such as starting from search part to video section. And this integration helps you in sharing and monitoring all the updates and messages without ever leaving the Google service you’ll be using.
Friend Management with Circles

Google+ has come up with the “Circles” concept which is basically a feature, helps in forming the groups of friends. Facebook too have this feature through which you can form ad hoc groups of friends but it seems cumbersome than the Google+ Circles concept. “Circles” concept is the core of Google+ platform. With Google+ you can form groups easily, all you need to do is to frame the circles according to your need, name them and lastly drag a person from your friends’ list and drop in that particular circle which suits him/her.
Content Sharing
With Google+ you can assign the level of privacy to each piece of information you want to share, instead of using a pre-set list of privacy settings. For example, if you want to share your image with selected set of friends in your friends list, Google+ gives the choices of which friend circles you would like to share that information, images with, instead of sharing with all.
Photo Tagging with Google+
Both Google+ and Facebook have an option of Photo Tagging. But there is a major difference in the way they both handle photo tagging aspect. When we talk about Facebook photo tagging, it does not make any effort to warn people that they have been tagged and not even give them a chance to remove themselves from that tag. However, when you tag someone through Google+ then definitely the person get a warning that: “Adding this tag will notify the person you have tagged. They will be able to view the photo and the related album.”
Google’s+ Sparks- Easy to find information to share

Google+ Spark is another crucial feature that Facebook don’t have. It offers its users an instant source of information to share it within friend circle. This is not possible in Facebook as it has no search engine, every time its users have to leave the site and go to the search engine to find shareable data which they want to share with their friends.
Therefore, if you want to run a social network with strong data privacy then you should go for Google+ as it is the place which is more trustworthy and less accident prone then Facebook.
