20 Design Lessons to Learn on Christmas

admin on Dec 16th 2009 with 19 comments

Decorating home or work lab is obvious thing to do on Christmas, but how many really decorate their websites or blogs. The pretty thing about decorating your online store, website, blog or whatever you are attached with is it does not need much from you, but only time.

This very occasion gives you a reason to bring some light changes in your website/blog, and giving it a frosty Christmas look can really give a warm feeling to your visitors. You might have seen various businesses of all domains running Christmas oriented sales schemes, just to close their sales figures on high note. But how many of them really make any changes on their website, or at least release a Christmas post on their blog. Not many we bet.

Great collection! I have to say I’m partial to the snowman myself. Thanks for taking the time to put this together.

Thanks for sharing. Christmas is so close and I still need to do my shopping. I still need to buy my brother some lord of the rings toys. You can find a lot of great deals at Amazon.

I have created a seasonal and holiday calendar that alerts clients when its time to start thinking about a promotion, or preparing graphic updates to their ads and websites, they usually think of it at the last minute and everyone is scrambling around, whereas the alert can help to prepare effective promotions and graphics.

I had a client ask me why would I do this? and you give a great answer at the begging of this post, because it will give your visitors a warm feeling when they are at the site, they will know you are “current” and you care about providing a welcoming experience, I mean think about google and when they change their logo, its kinda fun when they change it to be related to some time of the year. So why not do it with your own creative?

Thanks and Regards
